Our Mission

What is the Silver City Museum Society

The Silver City Museum Society is a group of volunteers supporting the Silver City Museum. Their support complements public resources with private philanthropy. This vital partnership allows the museum to achieve excellence beyond what municipal funding alone could support, serving as an exemplary model of what a successful public/private partnership represents.

As the museum’s premier support organization, the Museum Society is committed to helping preserve and celebrate the distinctive history and culture that shapes Grant County’s identity, ensuring our heritage remains professionally preserved and accessible to all.

The Silver City Museum Society is a 501 (c)(3) non-profit organization, and was founded in 1985.
