50th Anniversary Capital Campaign

Help us raise a new roof on the historic H.B. Ailman House!

To honor the Silver City Museum’s 50th Anniversary, the Silver City Museum Society has set a capital campaign goal to raise $50,000 to support the maintenance of the Mansard roof on the H.B. Ailman House. The H.B. Ailman House is listed on both the State Register of Cultural Properties and National Register of Historic Places. This historic house has been the home of the Silver City Museum since 1967. The current metal standing seam roof, designed to replicate the original metal roof, has been in place since 1974, and now coming to the end of service.

The Silver City Museum Society is raising money to match other funding sources. Donations of all sizes gratefully encouraged and accepted! Those who can make a gift of $500 or more to the capital campaign in 2017 will be recognized on a special 50th Anniversary Capital Campaign plaque in the Museum Courtyard. For more information, please contact Museum Director Carmen Vendelin at 575-538-5921 or director@silvercitymuseum.org, or Society Board President John Warner at 575-912-1018 or jfwarner@hotmail.com.
